Team Naivaadhoo has secured semifinal’s first slot in the group as the match played between NVK and United Youth in ‘Bodu Thiladhunmathi Futsal Challenge’ organized by Ihavandhoo CPS Sports and Recreation Club (SARC) ended in a draw.
In day before yesterday’s first match FC Bodumagu played against Club Irama. FC Bodumagu won the match 5-1. Ibrahim Shimaah from FC Bodumagu was selected as the best player of the match.
In day before yesterday’s second match United Youth played against NVK. The match ended in a 3-3 draw. Shifaz Ibrahim from United Youth was selected as the best player of the match.
Six teams from Ihavandhoo participated in the tournament. The teams are NVK, United Youth, Sencity, FC Bodumagu, Club Irama and Kulhimagu. Moreover, Team Hanimaadhoo and Team Naivaadhoo participated from Haa Dhaalu Atoll and apart from Ihavandhoo, Marandhoo Youth Society and JA Manafaru FC participated from Haa Aiifu Atoll.
Moreover, MVR 25000 will be awarded to the champion team of the tournament and MVR 7000 to the runner-up team. Also, prizes and medals will be given to the winners.
The purpose of the tournament to promote unity and harmony among the youth of Bodu Thiladhunmathi and to give the talented Futsal players an opportunity to hone their skills and also to provide talented youngsters the experience by competing in a competitive competitions.
