Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has awarded Land Reclamation of 3 islands including Sh. Bileffahi to develop Airports to the contractor.
The Planning Ministry has awarded Land Reclamation of Sh. Bileffahi, Th. Vilufushi, and B. Thulhadhoo to Capital Marine and Civil Construction Private Limited.
At a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry, the agreement was signed by Director General of the Fathimath Shana Farooq on behalf of Ministry and Managing Director of Capital Marine and Civil Construction Private Limited Sivaraja Manivannan signed the agreement on behalf of the company. Thulhaadhoo constituency parliament member Hisaan Hussain and Kanditheemu constituency parliament member Abdulla Shaheem Abdul Hakeem were present on the occasion.
Under the project, 44.70 hectares of land will be reclaimed for Thulhadhoo Airport Development Project, while 56.34 hectares of land will be reclaimed for the Vilufushi Airport Development Project, and 56.34 hectares of land will be reclaimed for Bileffahi Airport Development Project.
The USD 42,450,783.48 project was awarded to the company to be completed within 280 days.
