Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has awarded Sh. Feevah, Sh. Feydhoo and Sh. Foakaidhoo Swimming Area Development Project to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) under design and build basis.
At a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry, the agreement was signed by Director General of the Fathimath Shana Farooq and COO of MTCC Shahid Hussain Moosa signed the agreement on behalf of the company.
Under the project to develop the Feevah Swimming Area MTCC has to dredge 3,575 cubic metres of swimming area, install 50 metres of groyne, and installĀ 97 metres of breakwater.
Under the project to develop Feydhoo Swimming Area MTCC has to dredge 2,730 cubic metres of swimming area, install 50 metres of groyne, and installĀ 62 metres of breakwater.
Under the project to develop Foakaidhoo Swimming Area MTCC has to dredge 2,106 cubic metres of swimming area, install 40 metres of groyne, and installĀ 101.56 metres of breakwater.
The MVR 16Ų617Ų895.33 million projects were awarded to the company to be completed within 210 days.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
