A Barge ran aground Kumundhoo Harbour Channel

A barge carrying rock boulders to HDh. Kumundhoo ran aground Kumundhoo Harbour Channel.

According to reports, the barge of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) ran aground Kumundhoo Harbour Channel yesterday’s evening. However, no one was injured in the incident.

Moreover, sources stated the incident took place due to inclement weather conditions.

Similar incidents have taken place in the past while vehicles entering to Kumundhoo Harbour. Three days ago a dinghy capsized to the Harbour Channel, and on April 22, 2023, the ferry boat between Kumundhoo and Kulhudhuffushi also ran aground Kumundhoo Harbour Channel.
