HDh. Kulhudhuffushi City Airport has been damaged by high tide.
Kulhudhuffushi Mayor Mohamed Athif stated that the Airport runway has been badly damaged due to heavy rains. The runway fence of the airport has collapsed and efforts are on to remove the fence, according to Mayor.
Due to the heavy rain Airport operations were also disrupted. Even some flights were delayed, however, now normal operations are resumed.
Moreover, MNDF Northern Area Command, Kulhudhuffushi Fire Station personnel used pumps to remove water from the streets of Kulhudhuffushi city after heavy rains lashed the city.
