Zigzag for Youth Linkage has won Kulhudhuffushi Championship 2023 Football Tournament organized by Kulhudhuffushi City Council.
In the final match of the tournament played at Kulhudhuffushi Zone Stadium yesterday Zigzag for Youth Linkage won the match against Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya (HZJ) 1-0. Mohamed Shafiu from Zigzag was selected as the best player of the match.
After the final match the closing ceremony of the tournament was held. Hirafus Sports Club was selected as the Fair play team of the tournament, captain of HZJ Hanimadhoo Aalif Ibrahim was selected as the best midfielder of the tournament, Prince Labi of Zigzag was selected as the best forward of the tournament, Zigzag keeper Haisham Abdulla was selected as the best goalkeeper of the tournament, Zigzag’s Jerry Ombele was selected asthe best defender of the tournament and Zigzag coach Ahmed Asif was selected the best coach of the tournament. Moreover, Saalim Mohamed of Nolhivaram Club Huvasa was selected the best young player of the tournament. Zigzag’s Jerry Ombele was selected player of the tournament.
In addition, the winning team was awarded with MVR 60,000 while the runners- was awareded with MVR 15,000. And cash prizes and trophies were be given to other selected winners from matches and tournament.
