It has been scheduled to hold a show of Habeys Boduberu Group as Eid Al-Adha celebration in Ha. Utheemu.
This year Utheemu council in collobration with clubs, NGOs, and general public are gearing up to celebrate Eid Al-Adha in a colourful manner after four years. Habeys Boduberu Group show will be held in the island on the night of June 30.
According to the president of Utheemu Council, Abdulla Rasheed, the decision to hold a show of Habeys Boduberu Group in Utheemu was a dream come true for all the citizens of the island. He also stated that show was arranged with assistance of former constituency parliament member.
Moreover, he stated during the last four years not much of activities and celebrations were held on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha in the island, however, this year a grand eid will be celebrated in the island. In this regard an Eid Committee is formed with two members from each institute and clubs/NGOs in the island and more than MVR 60,000 has been collected holding the people’s working day.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the entire island is preparing to celebrate the grand Eid, this year. Apart from Udhiya sacrifice and traditional ‘Aveli’ breakfast, other activities to be held in the island include taking ‘Dhafi’ a traditional celebration by both genders separately, ‘Vaadhemun’, ‘Badhige Parade’, ‘Mashimaali Paarade’, a game show, an evening for children, and many more.
