Site Mobilized to commence Sh. Funadhoo Shore Protection Project

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that they have mobilized the site to commence Sh. Funadhoo Shore Protection Project.

According to MTCC, site was mobilized on June 12, 2023, to commence the project.

Under the project to protect MTCC has to reclaim 12,145 cubic meters of land, 7,878 cubic meters of sand will be added on the beach and Geobag revetment will be installed in an area of 670 meters. Moreover, Groynes will be installed in 60 meter area.

The MVR 18.56 million project was awarded to the company by National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
