Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya (HZJ) has won the match played against Maattey Sports in the Kulhudhuffushi Championship 2023 Football Tournament organized by Kulhudhuffushi City Council and has reached to the semifinal of the tournament.
In the eleventh match of the tournament played at Kulhudhuffushi Zone Stadium yesterday evening HZJ won the match against Maattey Sports 5-1. Ali Hussain form HZJ was selected as the best player of the match.
Moreover, in the 12th match of the tournament Nolhivaram Huvasa will compete against Hirafus Sports Club. The match is scheduled to be played today 1600hrs at Kulhudhuffushi Zone Stadium.
The objectives of organizing the tournament include providing an opportunity to all football lovers, including the youth of Kulhudhuffushi, to enhance the football skills of the youth, to produce youth who play football at the national level in the city and to make the city a supportive island for the development of football. Taking football to a new level in the city and keeping the youth away from crime are also the objectives of organizing the tournament.
In addition, the winning team will be awarded with MVR 60,000 while the runners-up will get MVR 15,000. And cash prizes and trophies will be given to other selected winners from matches and tournament.
