Zigzag for Youth Linkage has won the match played against Nolhivaranfaru Sports Club in the Kulhudhuffushi Championship 2023 Football Tournament organized by Kulhudhuffushi City Council.
In the tenth match of the tournament played at Kulhudhuffushi Zone Stadium yesterday evening Zigzag won the match against Nolhivaranfaru Sports 4-2. With today’s result other two teams in the group have a chance to get a slot in the semifinal.
Moreover, in the eleventh match of the tournament Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya (HZJ) will compete against Maattey Sports. The match is scheduled to be played today 1600hrs at Kulhudhuffushi Zone Stadium.
The objectives of organizing the tournament include providing an opportunity to all football lovers, including the youth of Kulhudhuffushi, to enhance the football skills of the youth, to produce youth who play football at the national level in the city and to make the city a supportive island for the development of football. Taking football to a new level in the city and keeping the youth away from crime are also the objectives of organizing the tournament.
In addition, the winning team will be awarded with MVR 60,000 while the runners-up will get MVR 15,000. And cash prizes and trophies will be given to other selected winners from matches and tournament.
