The Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has awarded Ha. Filladhoo and N. Kendhikulhudhoo Road Development projects under design and build basis to Road Development Corporation (RDC).
Director General Fathimath Shaana Farooq signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry and Managing Director Moosa Ali Manik signed on behalf of RDC, at a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry.
Under the Filladhoo Road Development project, roads in island’s harbour area will be developed. A total of 1.1 km of roads will be developed and street lights will be installed in Filladhoo under the project. The MVR 29.8 million project was awarded to be completed in 240 days.
Moreover, under Kendhikulhudhoo Road Development project, 3.7 kilometers of roads in the island will be developed by laying asphalt. The MVR 90.8 million project was awarded to be completed in 540 days.
