Construction of 30 Housing Units in Sh. Komandoo has been awarded to the contractor.
Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure awarded to Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Private Limited (RRC). Director General of the Planning Ministry Ahmed Vishan Naseem signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry and RCC Projects Director Adam Raheem signed the agreement on behalf of the company at a ceremony held yesterday.
As part of the project, 30 units of two-storey row houses of 700 square feet will be constructed. Each unit will consist of three rooms, three toilets, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, a laundry and a store room. In addition, the planning ministry also stated that the outer walls will be constructed and surrounding areas of the units will be illuminated to create a comfortable environment for residents of the housing units. A park and a parking area will also be set up, according to the ministry.
The project will be funded through the government’s PSIP budget for 2022. The MVR 40.9 million project was awarded on design and build basis to be completed in 300 days.
