Ministry of Islamic Affairs has awarded Ha. Dhidhdhoo Islamic Center construction project to contractor.
At a ceremony held at the Islamic Ministry Hall, the project was awarded to Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Private Limited (RCC). Director Adam Raheem signed agreement on behalf of RCC and Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahir signed on behalf of the Ministry. Dhidhdhoo MP Abdulla Waheed was also present on the occasion.
The Islamic Center can accommodate up to 1,500 people at a time. And will have a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 450 people, an administrative office, a library, four classrooms, two seminar rooms and pantry.
While the Islamic Center’s mosque will be installed with ACs, renewable energy will be used to reduce the cost of electricity, according to the Islamic Ministry.
The MVR 50,895,299.07 project was awarded the company to be completed in 540 days.
