Solar installed at Ha. Molhadhoo Mosque under island’s ‘Green Energy’ initiative

As part of the Ha. Molhadhoo Council’s efforts to reach ‘Green Energy’, solar installation has been completed at the island’s mosque.

Speaking regarding the project council stated that solar installation has been completed and testing are underway in the mosque. However, since it is a rainy season electricity was not produced most efficiently, but will be beneficial in long term.

In particular, it will be a step towards ensuring that the environment-friendly, natural habitats are safely kept and passed on to future generations, as per council said.

Moreover, Molhadhoo Council stated that this project is fully funded by the council and is supported by Molhadhoo Fenaka Branch. In addition, council also stated that they is planning awareness programs to create awareness among the citizens.
