Ha. Hoarafushi Council and WDC to organize a Handball Tournament for Haa Alifu Atoll

Opportunity has been opened to participate in the Handball Tournament to be held for the islands of the Haa Alifu Atoll by Ha. Hoarafushi Council and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC).

The ‘HRF WDC Handball Tournament 2023’ will allow clubs/organizations, community groups, government institutions and individual-formed teams from the atoll to participate in the tournament. The objectives of organizing the tournament are to promote unity among the women of the atoll and to inculcate spirit of sportsmanship.

Hoarafushi WDC urges the participating teams to complete the required online form and submit it before May 30. While the draw ceremony will be held on June 5, the tournament will begin on June 26, 2023.

A cash prize of MVR 25,000 will be given to the winning team, MVR 7,000 to the runners-up and MVR 1,500 to the second runners-up team.
