President Solih appointed Safa Shafeeq to MBC Board

Safa Shafeeq has been appointed as a member of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC) by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

MBC is an independent institution mandated to govern the implementation of the Broadcasting Act (Law No. 16/2010). Safa Shafeeq was appointed to the position on Tuesday.

President Solih met with Safa Shafeeq after presenting Letter of Appointment and discussed pertinent issues related to the broadcasting sector.

Safa Shafeeq completed her Master of Arts in Social Policy at the Maldives National University (MNU) and her Master of Arts in Communication at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT), Malaysia.

In addition, since 2006, she has also worked as a television personality for the state broadcaster Public Service Media (PSM).
