A program to teach how to make crafts from palm leaves has begun in Ha. Ihavandhoo.
A total of 30 participants participated in the program organized by Ihavandhoo Women’s Development Committee (WDC). The program which began on May 5 will be continued till May 11.
Moreover, the program supported by an expert in making crafts from palm leaves received a good response from the women of the village.
In addition to this program, Ihavandhoo WDC has organized several other programs and activities this year. These include the religious awareness session held to prepare for the holy month of Ramadan, Volleyball training program and cooking competition held to mark International Women’s Day, a Prayer workshop, a study camp for grade 10 students of Ihavandhoo School to prepare for O level exams, and other religious awareness session.
Ihavandhoo is home to an economically prosperous and skilled citizen in various fields.
