Street lights have been installed as part of HDh. Makunudhoo road lighting project.
According to the President of Makunudhoo Council Auzam Adam, that 106 lights have been installed in the island and 32 in the jetty area. He stated the installation work was carried out by the employees of the council with the assistance of general public.
Moreover, he stated that MVR 34,000 has been spent from the council’s budget for installing lights in the island and MVR 17,600 for installing lights in the jetty area. Furthermore, he thanked the people for their support in carrying out this project.
In addition, Auzam noted that efforts have now been made to install street lights in the areas where there is insufficient light and the newly populated areas.
