Ooredoo Maldives has concluded Ooredoo Fun Run held at Kulhudhuffushi City on May 5, 2023.

Unlike previous years this year’s Ooredoo Fun Run was held at Kulhudhuffushi City. Previous years the event was held in the Male’ area. However, this is the first time the event has been held at an atoll.

The first ‘Fun Run’, which was held outside the capital, received a good response from the public. More than 3000 participants joined the fun activities of the Fun Run. Moreover, Maakunudhoo MP Mohamed Raaee and Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif participated in the race. Other councilors of Kulhudhuffushi and presidents of the councils of Hanimaadhoo, Nolhivaranfaru, Makunudhoo, Hirimaradhoo and Nellaidhoo were also participated in the run.

Last year, the Ooredoo Color Run was upgraded to the Ooredoo Fun Run, and over 5000 participants joined the fun activities held in Hulhumale’. This upgraded version of Ooredoo Color Run, the most anticipated run is a fun-filled 5K run designed to be enjoyed by families and friends of all ages. And the company noted that it’s going to be the biggest and most exciting event to be held in Haa Dhaalu Atoll this year.

Ooredoo Fun Run aims to promote running as a fun way to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. As an untimed and fun-filled 5K, the event welcomed both new and experienced runners to join in the excitement. From the moment participants cross the starting line, they’ll be immersed in a world of colours, thrilling obstacles, water sprays. As the run is not a timed event, participants were given the option to walk, jog, run or dance to the finish line, where their efforts will be celebrated in style with a foam party.

In addition, Kulhudhuffushi City Council thanked Ooredoo for hosting the first fun run held outside Male’ their city.
