Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture has awarded construction of Ice plants in five islands, including Ha. Dhidhdhoo.

The five Island awarded to the Fenaka Corporation by Ministry of Fisheries are: Ha. Dhidhdhoo, GDh. Rathafandhoo, AA. Rasdhoo, Dh. Meedhoo and L. Maamendhoo. According to the Ministry, a 25-ton ice plant will be set up in each of these islands.

Director General Ahmed Yaameen signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry and CEO Ahmed Saeed Mohamed signed on behalf of Fenaka at a ceremony held at the Ministry.

The current administration has set up ice plants in 10 locations across the country to ensure that fishermen get easy access to ice from different parts of the country.
