Maakun Dhaitha winner of Kethi Araa Masrace 2023 Women’s Categoty

Maakun Dhaitha has won the Women’s category of ‘Hanimaadhoo Kethi Araa Masrace 2023′, held as part this year’s Eid Al-Fitr celebrations.

Like previous years, this year too, the competition will be held in two categories. Yesterday, the fish race was held for the women’s category and today there will be a fish race for the men’s category.

Hassan Sajin the “Zuvaan Masveriyaa”, who is currently on a major tour from the north to south of the Maldives, graced the women’s category fishing race held yesterday.

Maakun Dhaitha won the title with 66kg of fish, followed by Sirani with 48.2kg of fish, and Branzino finished third with 40 kg of fish. Moreover, Maakun Dhaitha was selected as the team who caught the maximum number of fish with a total of 17 fish. And Nazleen of Aavescom was selected for the one whgo caught the heaviest fish. The fish she caught weighed 9 kg.

A total of 11 teams participated in the competition and the total weight of fish caught by these teams were 371.3 kg.
