The final of the ‘KD Enterprises Dhidhdhoo Emme Aligadha Thari 1444’ Quran Competition organized by Dhidhdhoo Middle Sports Club is scheduled to be held tonight.
During the final to be held tonight and the top 10 contestants of the competition will perform and the top five contestants will get a place in the grand finale show of the competition. And five contestants will also be eliminated from tonight’s show.
‘Dhidhdhoo Emme Aligadha Thari 1444’ will be awarded to the winner of the competition who attains the highest combination marks from both final and grand finale. The winner of the competition will be given an Umrah trip as a prize. The grand finale show of the tournament will be held tomorrow night.
Initially competition was organized in a way that the top 5 contestants to reach the final after the performances of second night of second round. However, after the second night of the second round of the competition held at March 31, 2023, night as the results of the 10 contestants on the show were on very narrow margin, it was decided after consultation with the tournament’s organizing committee and the tournament judges that the ten contestants would be given chance in the final round of the tournament.
According to Middle Sports Club, purposes of the competition are to inculcate love for reciting the Holy Quran in the hearts of the people of island, to revive the art of reciting the Holy Quran in according to Tajweed, encouraging to memorize the Holy Quran, to encourage the developing Qari’s and Hafiz’s. In addition to develop participants who can compete at national and international competitions and since it is the holy month of Ramadan, to increase awareness about Quran.
This is the second edition of ‘Dhidhdhoo Emme Aligadha Thari’ organized by Middle Sports Club.
