A religious awareness session has been held in HDh. Nellaidhoo.
The session was held collaboratively by Adhaalath Party, Nellaidhoo Council, and Women’s Development Committee (WDC), to prepare for upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
President of Adhaalath Party’s Council of Scholars Sheikh Ilyas Hussain delivered the session on the theme “Preparing for The Holy Month of Ramadan” at Nellaidhoo Harbour area on March 17th night. At the end of session residents were given opportunity for a Q&A session with Sheikh Ilyas.
According to the Vice President of Nellaidhoo Council Ahmed Rasheed, this is the one of the most successful religious awareness session held in the island, noting that large number of residents attended the session and all 200 seats arranged were full and people had to stay in other areas of the harbour as well.
Ahmed Rasheed further stated that the Hifz along with Raraweeh will continue at the main mosque in the island during the Holy Month of Ramadan and efforts are being made to continue to held more religious awareness sessions during Ramadan.
Moreover, he expressed his gratitude to the WDC, the Island school and the Quran classes in the island for their support in carrying out the session.
Adhaalath Party is currently organizing religious awareness sessions in the northern island to prepare for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
