A warm welcome has been given to the Atoll and Zone 1 winners of ‘Sonee Sports Golden Futsal Challenge 2023’, HDh. Naivaadhoo team on their return to the island.
The Naivaadhoo Futsal team returned to the island on the evening of March 16. All the residents of the island attended the harbour area to welcome the team.
Moreover, residents of the island arranged an evening tea for the team in the harbour area. Also, opportunity was given to the general public to take photos with the trophy.
Furthermore, a special event was also held at night to hand over the trophy to the Naivaadhoo Council along with a special dinner provided by the people of Naivaadhoo.
The Naivaadhoo team’s massive victory in the Golden Futsal Challenge this year has brought unity and happiness to the island.
Naivaadhoo Futsal team won the title by defeating Neykurendhoo 1-0 in the final. The Naivaadhoo team won the Zone 1 title by defeating Sh. Kanditheemu 6-2 in the final. Naivaadhoo is the most successful Futsal team in Thiladhunmathi.
