Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that Channel dredging and new harbour basin dredging operations under HDh. Kumundhoo Harbour Channel Project has been completed.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that breakwater bed preparation and revetment profiling works are currently underway at the site
Under the project, MTCC has to dredge 9346.56 cubic meter new harbour basin, channel dredging of 4954.91 cubic meter, construction of 242 meter breakwater and 198 meter revetment will be undertaken.
The project is worth MVR 33.6 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
