Ha. Baarah Council has decided to lease and open bidding for land plots to be used for oil business.
According to the Baarah Council, a land plot measuring 2,000 square feet will be allotted from the industrial area of the island for oil business.
The Baarah council has requested the eligible bidders, who are interested in leasing out the land for oil business, to submit the completed applications before 1100hrs of March 9.
Moreover, only companies, partnership or cooperative society or registered private enterprises in Maldives will be allowed participate in the bidding. Furthermore, if any bidder has previously have such land and removed the land in violation of rules, bidder will not be able to participate in this bidding unless the fine amount has been cleared.
According to the council, pre-bid meeting will be held on March 9 at 1300hrs at the Baarah Council, while the final submission and opening ceremony will be held at 1300hrs of March 16. And if a proxy is attending for the pre-bid meeting or for bidding, he/she will have to produce a document to stating that he or she has been sent instead of the bidder.
