An awareness program to familiarize about laws and regulation has been held at Haa Alifu Atoll.

The programs jointly organized by Hoarafushi Police Station and the Department of Juvenile Justice were held in Hoarafushi, Ihavandhoo, Uligamu, Thuraakunu and Manafaru resort.

Regarding the programs, which were held from February 24 to 28, the Police stated this programs were held for school students, parents and institutional staff to protect themselves from crime and abide by laws and regulations.

Among these programs, school parents and institutional staff were instructed to adapt to child justice law and to develop parenting skills. The programs for school students were instructed to make students aware of the Juvenile Justice Act and to make them aware of the rights and responsibilities of the children.

During the programs, students and parents of Hoarafushi School, Ihavandhoo School, Uligamu School and Thuraakunu School, employees of institutions in these islands, as well as local employees of Manafaru Resort were briefed
