Ha. Utheemu and Ha. Filladhoo are set to play in Golden Futsal Challenge Ha. Atoll Final and HDh. Naivaadhoo and HDh. Neykurendhoo are set to play in Golden Futsal Challenge Haa Dhaalu Atoll Final.
Ha. Utheemu won the semifinal match against Ha. Vashafaru on penalties, 4-3 as the match ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time. Mohamed Rifau from Utheemu was selected as the Man of the match.
In the semifinal match between Ha. Filladhoo and Ha. Muraidhoo, Filladhoo won the match 2-1. Mohamed Husam from Filladhoo was selected as the Man of the match.
Last year’s Haa Dhaalu Atoll Champions Naivaadhoo won the semifinal match against HDh. Kumundhoo 3-1 to reach the final. In the second semifinal match Neykurendhoo won the match against HDh. Nellaidhoo 2-1.
The Golden Futsal Challenge Ha. Atoll Final match is scheduled to be played tonight at 2000hrs and HDh. Atoll Final match is scheduled to be played tonight at 2100hrs. Both matches will be played at Hulhumale’ Futsal Ground (Near Rehendhi School).
A total of 102 teams across from the country participated in this year’s competition. And a total of 242 matches will be played in the competition.
With 12 teams, Haa Alif Atoll has the most number of teams this year. Haa Dhaalu Atoll has 9 teams while Shaviyani Atoll has 7 teams in the competition.
