Ahulee had their first win and the match played between Real Star and Uniform ended in a draw in the ‘Hanimaadhoo League 2022/23’ Football tournament, ongoing at HDh. Hanimaadhoo.
In the first match of game week four, Ahulee won the match against Falcon 7-3 in the match played on Friday. Naail Yoosuf of Ahulee was selected as the best player of the match. He scored 3 goals in the match.
In the second match of game week four, on Saturday evening, Uniform and Real Star match ended in a 0-0 draw. Zamaau from Real Star was selected as the best player of the match. He scored 3 goals in the match.
The next two match of the tournament will be played during weekend. On Friday Youth Friends is scheduled to play against Ahulee and on Saturday Uniform is scheduled to play against Falcon. Both matches will be played at Hanimaadhoo Football Ground at 1600 hrs.
A total of seven teams participated in the tournament. The teams are Youth Friends, Uniform, Ahulee, Real Star, Rooh, Shield, and Falcon.
The purpose of the tournament is to develop the football skills of the youth of Hanimaadhoo by giving them the opportunity to play football in a competitive environment and producing young footballers in the island and helping them maintain their fitness at a good level.
The tournament was planned by dividing into two rounds. Each team will meet each other twice and the team with the highest points will win the title. This is the first time that a football league is being held in Hanimaadhoo.
