Opportunity has been opened to participate in ‘Jawahirul Quran Competition 1444’ organized by HDh. Hanimaadhoo Council and Hanimaadhoo School.
Those who wish to participate in the competition are requested to complete the application form and submit it to council before 1300hrs of February 16. Form will be available from councils website as well as reception and can be submitted on working hours.
In the competition several winners will be selected including the top five students from the foundation stage and each key stage. Also 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place from the foundation stage and each key stage. And top five and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be selected from both memorized and non-memorized category.
Winners from both category will be awarded with MVR 5000, second place from both category will be awarded with MVR 2500, third place from both category will be awarded with MVR 1500, also first place from key stage group will be awarded with MVR 2000, second place from key stage group will be awarded with MVR 1500, and third place from key stage group will be awarded with MVR 1000.
The objectives of the competition include providing students with the opportunity to spend the holy month of Ramadan with the Holy Quran, reviving the art of reading the Holy Quran and inculcating love in the minds of the students towards the Holy Quran. In addition, to promote unity among the people of the island, as per the provisions of the Council Act.
