Construction of a Hospital in Ha. Ihavandhoo awarded to contractor

Ministry of Health has awarded construction of a Hospital in Ha. Ihavandhoo.

The project was awarded to Duplex Private Limited at a ceremony held at the Health Ministry yesterday. Under the project a 30 bed Hospital will be developed in Ihavandhoo.

According to the Ministry of Health, the MVR 1,23,303,792.00 project was awarded to the company to be completed within 18 months.

The government has been working to improve the quality of health centers in the atolls and expand services. In this regard, work is underway to build extension building to increase the capacity of health centers in several islands and to upgrade health centers in the most populous islands to Hospitals.
