Kulhudhuffushi City Stadium’s turf Futsal Ground closed for renovation

Kulhudhuffushi City Stadium’s turf Futsal Ground has been closed for renovation, several days after it was badly damaged.

The council stated it has decided to close the ground from today till the turf of the ground is replaced and the work to be done is completed. The council also has announced that a date for completion of the work and the start of use of the Futsal Ground will be announced later.

According to sources, the turf of the ground has been damaged and the field has been unusable for quite some time now. Moreover, to draw attention to the condition of the ground, some people had earlier shared videos and pictures on social media showing the condition of the ground.

In the pictures and videos shared on social media, many lines in the field have been damaged. In some places, gaps were formed and sand was visible, while the turf installed on the field was unusable.
