Ahulee are the Champions of Saabba Anniversary Cup 2022, organized by Saabba Ekuveri Club in Hanimaadhoo by winning the final match against Real Star.
Ahulee won the match 3-1 against Real Star. Ali Hussain of Ahulee was selected as the best player of the match. At the end of the final, the closing ceremony of the tournament was held and medals and trophies were handed over to the winners. A memento was also presented to those who have contributed in various ways to the running of the tournament.
With a total of six goals in the tournament, the golden boot was awarded to Hussain Shareef of Ahulee team. Hussain Shareef was also selected as the player of the tournament. Adam Ibrahim of Real Stars was selected as the Best Goalkeeper, Sifan Hasan of Ahulee was selected as the Best Defender, Ali Amir of Youth Friends selected as the Best Midfielder, Hussain Shareef of Ahulee was selected as the Best Forward, Zamaau Amjadh of Real Stars was selected as the most promising player of the tournament, Mohamed Khalid of Ahulee was selected as the best coach, and Shield was selected as the fairplay team of the tournament. The runners-up team in the tournament is Real Star.
A total of seven teams participated in the tournament. The teams are Youth Friends, Uniforms, Ahulee, Real Stars, Rooh, Shields, and Falcon.
This is the first time that Ahulee has won the Saabba Anniversary Cup. The teams that have won the title in the past are Youth Friends, Real Stars and Shield.
