Villa College Kulhudhuffushi Campus has opened the opportunity to enroll for the Bachelor of Teaching Primary Course.
Out of the 139 courses offered at the January intake of Villa College Kulhudhuffushi campus, the Bachelor of Teaching Primary course is one of the most notable. The MNQF Level 7 course is Villa College’s own course. The duration of the course is 3 years.
The Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) programme aims to develop reflective primary teachers who are skilled in the key learning areas of the Maldives National Curriculum, and are motivated and capable of teaching the values and skills specified in the national primary curriculum. This programme prepares graduates to teach and implement the new national curriculum in primary grades. The main focus is on developing practitioners to provide value-based education combined with the enduring skills and competencies outlined in the national curriculum which are also in accordance with 21st-century skills. Paramount importance is given to widening graduates’ knowledge and skills in English, Mathematics and Science. The programme provides extensive professional experience opportunities through strong teaching workshop components.
Entry Criteria for the course are: 2 passes in A Level/HSC (At GCE A/L, a pass is considered E and above. HSC pass is considered C and above) or Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field or Attainment of Level 4 Foundation Study Programme approved for the specific Diploma programme.
Moreover, once the participants completed and passed the first year of the course, they will get a certificate in Diploma in Primary Teaching and when second year is completed and passed they will get an Advanced Diploma in Primary Teaching Certificate.
The last date for submission of applications for admission to January intake courses is January 21, 2023. Furthermore, with the aim to make it easier for students of Villa College to pay fees, students can pay fees for monthly installments. Also, students can pursue all Bachelors degree programmes at Villa College under the government’s free first-degree scheme.
