Sh. Atoll Council has decided to conduct courses for staff development.
According to the council, these courses are aimed at improving the quality of employees working in the atoll’s institutes. Council stated that it is their plan to offer a Master’s in Business Administration course and a university preparation program in 2023 as part of the Human Resource Development Program.
Moreover, an official from Sh. Atoll Council noted that the program has been going on since 2013. And he stated that council doing it in collaboration with various colleges. The aim is to make those employed in Island councils, Atoll council, School, and other institutes educationally competent.
Furthermore, official stated that in such courses, the focus is on reducing the fees charged from the students as much as possible as students from other islands of the atoll will have to travel and stay in a different island, so they have to spend more. And council will bear the cost of lectures traveling, their stay and food cost.
In addition, council has decided to pay the remaining portion of the fee for the students if it is more than MVR 2500. Colleges for the courses will be depended on number of participants and discussion with colleges. And it’s the target of council, to conduct the courses in January intake.
Interested candidates are advised by the council to fill the form via the link before January 5, 2023. And an information session on the courses will be held with the registered participants.
