Ha. Hoarafushi Council has held an event to plant Mango trees on the streets of the island.
Hoarafushi Council stated 77 Mango trees had been planted on the island’s streets as part of the initiative. The council also noted that 44 Mango trees were planted during the first event to green Hoarafushi.
The Hoarafushi Council has revealed that this event was organized jointly by Hoarafushi MP Ahmed Saleem (Salle) Council and the residents of Hoarafushi.
Moreover, the Council thanked the residents of the island for their effort in making the event successful. The Council also appreciated the support extended by MTCC and others..
Hoarafushi Council in collaboration with MP Saleem conducted a Breadfruit tree plantation program in the island in 2020. At the time, the council had stated that 100 Breadfruit had been planted as part of the program.
In addition, Hoarafushi Council had earlier conducted a program to plant 1,00,000 trees to make Hoarafushi Airport green.
