Fenaka Corporation has launched Smart Meter services.

The service was launched on Saturday during the opening ceremony of the new powerhouse and office building in GA. Maamendhoo. The service was officially launched by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Fenaka  stated that the service is a technology that will show how electricity is being used in real time and its details can be seen minute-by-minute. Through this service, customers can easily check more details electricity usage using mobile phones, which will allow customers to consume electricity as their preference level and reduce electricity wastage.

Moreover, Fenaka noted that while the details required through smart meters are being recorded in the service provider’s systems in a timely manner, the company will be able to advise a customer about the concerns that may arise prior to billing.

In addition, according to Fenaka, the company aims to install prepaid electricity meters in the country and also provide the service. To ensure that efficient service is provided to customers, Fenaka has spended MVR 135 million so far.
