Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH) has announced that it has decided to change the policy for making appointments for specialized doctor consultation from January 1, 2023.
The main change the hospital has decided to make is to change the existing practice of making appointments two weeks prior for specialized doctor consultations, by changing the practice to allocate the appointments for the next three days. In this way patients will have opportunity to make appointment for the next day every day.
According to the hospital, the main reason behind the change is that since more than 50% of the patients who makes the appointment do not turn up for consultation. Therefore, for those who really needed appointments do not get the chance for consultation.
The last date to follow the existing rules for making appointments for specialized doctor’s consultation is December 31, 2022.
