Saabba Anniversary Cup 2022, organized by Saabba Ekuveri Club has started in HDh. Hanimaadhoo.
Shield and Ahulee met in the first match of the tournament, which began yesterday evening at the Hanimaadhoo Football Ground. The match ended in a 2-2 draw for both the teams. Ali Hussain of Ahulee was selected as the best player of the match.
The next match of the tournament will be played between Rooh and Falcon at Hanimaadhoo Football Ground at 1600 hrs today.
A total of seven teams participated in the tournament. The teams are Youth Friends, Uniforms, Ahulee, Real Stars, Rooh, Shields, and Falcon.
The tournament is planned by dividing teams into two groups and two teams with the highest points after group stage to reach the semifinals. The final match of the tournament is scheduled to play on January 5, 2023
