Ha. Baarah WDC to conduct a Sewing Course

Opportunity has been opened to participate in a Sewing course to be held in Ha. Baarah by Women’s Development Committee (WDC).

The Sewing course is conducted by WDC in collaboration with I-Shirt. The one month course is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2023.

According to WDC, they have opened the opportunity to participate in three different levels of sewing courses, however the course level to be conducted will be decided depending on application received for the categories.

Moreover, apart from Sewing Machines and Scissors, the course conductor will provide all the necessary materials for the course. Any woman above the age of 16 years can take part in the course. While a fee for the course is MVR 2,000, in order to provide relief to the participants, MVR 1,000 will be charged from each participant. Furthermore, WDC noted that the course will be conducted only if at least 25 participants participate in the course. 

Therefore, WDC requests those who wish to participate in the course to contact Baarah WDC President Abidha Abdul Rahman (phone: 7836117) to get the application form and submit the completed forms before 1300 hrs of December 22. In addition, those who require further information also contact Abidha.
