President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have returned to Maldives today after concluding their official visit to the State of Qatar.
The President and the First Lady visited Qatar on December 12, 2022, at the invitation of the Qatari Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
During the visit the President attended the semi-final match between Argentina and Croatia and France and Morocco of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022, hosted in Qatar.
The President Office stated that the visit symbolises the Maldives’ close bilateral relations with Qatar.
