Ha. Thuraakunu Women’s Development Committee (WDC) has opened opportunity participate in a sewing course.
The sewing course from Basic to Advanced Level 1 is conducted in collaboration with Aifa’s Dream. The purpose of the course is facilitating a pathway for women’s of the island to earn income by learning sewing.
Moreover, according to Thuraakunu WDC, both genders are eligible to participate in the course, and fee will not be collected from students and people with special needs. The course is scheduled to begin on January 01 and all the equipment used in the course will be provided by the course’s WDC. However, participants need to have a sewing machine.
Furthermore, as a course fee MVR 2000 will be charged if there is less than 29 participants. If the number of participants is more than 30, the course fee will be reduced to MVR 1800. And each participant will also be charged between MVR 200 to MVR 300 as administrative fee.
