The draw ceremony has been held for ‘B14 Sports Festival 2022’ organized by HDh. Neykurendhoo Council.
The Sports Festival, scheduled to begin on December 23 this year, consists of two sports. They are Futsal and Handball.
A total of four teams will compete in handball. Out of four teams three teams are from Neykurendhoo; they are Kasab, NHC, and Falcons. And a team from Makunudhoo will compete in the Handball Tournament. The handball tournament will be played in such a way that each team meets each team and the two teams with highest point will reach the final. The handball tournament will be held from December 23 to 29.
A total of seven teams are competing in the Futsal Tournament that will be part of the festival. In addition to the six teams from Neykurendhoo, there is one team from Vaikaradhoo. The Futsal tournament will be divided into two groups and two teams with the highest points from each group will advance to the semi-finals and winners of semi-final will advance to the final of the tournament. The Futsal tournament will be held from December 23 to 30.
Group A consists defending champions Club Senon, runners-up Club Civic, tournament’s most successful team Mazins FC and Harmanas. Group B consist of Vaikaradhoo, DC Fraternity, and Taj SC.
