Opportunity has been opened to participate in ‘Thila Uthuru Futsal Competition 2022’ organized by Ha. Atoll Council in collaboration with Ha. Utheemu Council.
According to Atoll Council competition will be aimed at government offices and employees of state-owned companies in Haa Atoll. From each island opportunity will be given for one team, which can be an institute of the island or a team consisting staffs from various institutes in the island.
Therefore, teams wishing to participate in the tournament are requested to submit their application form to the atoll council or via email to [email protected] before 1400 hrs November 22, 2022. Moreover, after verifying the team list council have to mail team list to atoll council before 1400 hrs November 27, 2022.
The objectives of conducting the competition are to acknowledge the services rendered by the employees who serve in the institutions of the atoll, to promote friendship and harmony among the institutions, to promote social bonds and to keep the spirit of the sport alive. In addition, the development of talented futsal players in the atoll, the promotion of futsal, and the opportunity for them to showcase the futsal skills of the atoll’s institutions should also be provided to them.
The competition is scheduled to begin on December 1 and the matches will be played at Utheemu Futsal ground.
The winning team will receive a cash prize of MVR 15,000 while the runners-up will get a cash prize of MVR 10,000.
