This year’s ‘Hiyala Expo’ has started in Kulhudhuffushi City.
Total five islands from Haa Dhaalu Atoll are taking part in this year’s Hiyala Expo. They are Kulhudhuffushi City, Hanimaadhoo, Nolhivaranfaru, Kurinbi and Nellaidhoo. Women’s of these island will get an opportunity to showcase and sell their various products.
Hiyala Expo 2022 is organized by Kulhudhuffushi City Council in collaboration with the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) and the Business Centre Corporation.
In the expo, SDFC, Authentic Maldives and public health unit of Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH) will provide a wide range of information to entrepreneurs. Expo will be held at Afeefuddin School from 0900hrs to 0600 hrs.
The objective of the expo is to empower women entrepreneurs and domestic workers working in Haa Dhaalu Atoll and provide an opportunity to market their businesses. And to facilitate WDC’s in Haa Dhaalu Atoll to meet and communicate at one place.
In addition, to encouraged and supported to develop a variety of business-related skills of domestic workers and female entrepreneurs, also to identify products that can be widely produced and marketable from the items presented at the exhibition, and to show them how such products can be market such items in Authentic Maldives.
