Ha. Vashafaru Ferry Hut construction completed

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that construction of Ferry Hut for Ha. Vashafaru Ferry Stop has been completed.

The ferry stop was built under the Integrated National Public Ferry Network project facilitating Raajje Transport Link (RTL) in zone 1.

The ferry stop will include a kiosk, a waiting area and universal toilets.

Currently, RTL operates ferries in Zone 1, Haa Alif Atoll, Haa Dhaalu Atoll, and Shaviyani Atoll. Under the project, the country will be connected by a ferry network. Through the ferry network all the islands in the Haa Alifu Atoll, Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Shaviyani Atoll are now connected.

Under the project in Haa Alifu Atoll, ferry huts in Vashafaru, Molhadhoo, Marandhoo, Thuraakunu, Baarah, Thakandhoo and Uligamu has been completed.

MTCC is preparing to launch the service in Zone II as well.
