Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education to build four more schools in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
The agreement was signed on behalf of HDC by Managing Director Ahmed Athif and Senior Policy Director Moosa Naeem signed on behalf of Ministry of Education.
As part of the government’s comprehensive policy of education, the Ministry of Education has decided to construct four completely new public schools in Hulhumale’ Phase II. According to the company, after discussions with the HDC team, the areas for the construction of the four schools have been identified in close proximity to the buildings that are built for people to live in.
HDC further stated that the construction of schools in the middle of the Phase II will enable students living in the entire Phase II to go to school easily. The company also noted that these schools will provide full assurance to the residents of Hulhumale’ Phase II, the people who have decided to live and those who hope to make a living, that their children will be provided with quality education under the supervision of the government.
Among the schools to be built in Hulhumale’ Phase II, school which will be established in Plot N5-21 and Plot LZ-9 will be 50,098.85 square feet, school which will be established in Plot N4-20 will be 66,777.84 square feet, and school which will be established in Plot N5-33 will be 70,710.53 square feet.
