CS Women has won the women’s category of the Kumundhoo Council Futsal Challenge 2022 organized by Kumundhoo Council.
CS Women won the final match played at the Kumundhoo Futsal Ground last evening with a 1-0 win over Turf Queens. The only goal of the match was scored by Fathimath Zaara Adam. She was also selected as the best player of the final match.
Top five players of the tournament are: Salma Ali (CS Women), Fathimath Sahula (Zeer Stars), Raaidha Moosa (CS Women), Aiminath Samila (Turf Queens), and Fathimath Zaara Adam (CS Women).
With 17 goals two players from CS Women were top scorers of the tournament. They are Raaidha Moosa and Fathimath Zaara Adam.
Turf Queens were selected as the fairplay team of the tournament. Fathimath Zaara Adam of CS Women’s was selected as the Best Women’s Futsal Player of Kumundhoo. Turf Queens are the runners-up team in the tournament. The runners-up team was given a cash prize of MVR 5,000.
As the Winning team CS Women’s was awarded with a cash prize of MVR 10,000 from council and MVR 10,000 from constituency MP Mohamed Raaee.
Kumundhoo Council has stated that the purpose of holding a futsal competition is to establish unity and harmony among the athletes of the island, inculcate the spirit of sports, create the talented athletes in the island, and provide more opportunities to develop the skills of the emerging athletes.
