Xeeru Sports Club and Beach City Sports Club are set to play in the finals of the men’s category of the Kumundhoo Council Futsal Challenge 2022 organized by Kumundhoo Council.
In the first semi-final match of the tournament, the match between Xeeru Sports Club and Atto FC was won by the Xeeru Sports Club 1-0.
In the second semi-final match of the tournament, Beach City won the match 2-1 Lions against to book their place in the final of the tournament. Mohammed Adam scored the only goal for the Lions and Neeshan Ibrahim and Ali Malaash scored for Beach City. Beach City’s Neeshan Ibrahim was selected as the man of the match.
The final match between Xeeru Sports Club and Beach City Sports Club will be played at 2030hrs tomight at Kumundhoo Futsal Ground.
Kumundhoo Council has stated that the purpose of holding a futsal competition is to establish unity and harmony among the athletes of the island, inculcate the spirit of sports, create the talented athletes in the island, and provide more opportunities to develop the skills of the emerging athletes.
In addition, the winning team will receive a cash prize of MVR 10,000 while the runner-up team will receive a cash prize of MVR 5,000.
