Athirikolhu Legends and Lazio ended in a draw and Zeeru stars won the matches played at the Kumundhoo Council Futsal Challenge 2022 organized by Kumundhoo Council.
In the men’s category the match between Athirikolhu Legends and Lazio ended in a 0-0 draw. The match ended in a 0-0 draw for both the teams. Mohamed Husham from Athirikolhu Legends was selected as the player of the Match.
In the Women’s category Zeeru Stars won the match against Beach City Women 6-0. Maryam Shareefa, Fathimath Rashida, Haneefa Abdulla and Fathimath Shahla were the goal scorers for the Zeeru Stars. Shahula scored a hat-trick in the match and she was selected as the best player of the match. Moreover, three matches are scheduled to be played today in the tournament.
Kumundhoo Council has stated that the purpose of holding a futsal competition is to establish unity and harmony among the athletes of the island, inculcate the spirit of sports, create the talented athletes in the island, and provide more opportunities to develop the skills of the emerging athletes.
In addition, the winning team will receive a cash prize of MVR 10,000 while the runner-up team will receive a cash prize of MVR 5,000.
